Stanwood Offers a Rural Lifestyle

Stanwood, WA is just a few miles north of the new, wide-span bridge on Interstate 5 bridge on the North Fork of the Stillaguamish River at Arlington.
Heading north from Seattle on I-5, you will pass a large freeway rest area, then as you pass over and down into the Stillaguamish valley, you'll notice large open fields of corn and the silhouette of the impressive Cascade Mountains on your right.
Before reaching the Stanwood exit, The Arlington exit takes off to the east side, while you will continue to head up a hill out of the wide river valley, where the city of Stanwood sits and looks out over Camano Island, and Puget Sound to the west.
Stanwood is just out of reach of the Everett rain convergence zone, so you'll enjoy a bit more sunshine, giving you a few more days to work outside in your garden.
